We are a Southern Baptist church joyfully committed to the truths of God's Word. Our beliefs are rooted in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. The following is a summary of what we believe:
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 19:7–11)
There is one true and living God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, sovereign, and worthy of all worship. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
We believe that God the Father is the sovereign Creator and Ruler of all things. He is holy, loving, and just—perfect in all His ways. As Father, He reigns with providential care over His creation and works all things according to His purpose and grace. He is faithful to His promises and desires a personal relationship with His children through Jesus Christ. (1 John 3:1; Deuteronomy 7:9; Isaiah 6:3)
We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended into heaven. He will return one day to reign forever. (John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, and indwells, empowers, and guides Christians in truth and righteousness. (John 16:7–14; Romans 8:9–14)
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a gift of God, not earned by works. All who repent and believe in Jesus are born again, forgiven, and made new. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10)
The church is the body of Christ made up of all born-again believers. A local church is an autonomous congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:41–47)
We believe baptism is by immersion in water and is a public symbol of a believer's faith in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members remember Christ’s death and look forward to His return. (Matthew 28:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
It is the duty and joy of every believer to share the good news of Jesus with others, both locally and globally. (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8)
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead. The righteous will dwell forever with God, and the unrighteous will face eternal separation from Him. (John 14:1–3; Revelation 20:11–15)
