About the Pastor

Pastor, Robert "Rob" Worthington.

He is married to his wife Connie and they have one son, Cameron. 

Bro. Rob received his BA degree from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City Tennessee in Music Education. He spent 33 years as an educator in St. Augustine and Crescent City Florida.

From 1984 – 2000 Bro. Rob taught music and served as the band director in St. Johns and Putnam County. Beginning in 2000 Bro. Rob began teaching history and social studies. From
1988-2016, Bro. Rob served as a teacher at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. He retired from teaching in June 2016 and has devoted himself to serving the local church since
that time.

10 years ago, Bro. Rob heard the call to pastor. Since that time, he has preached whenever and wherever God called including multiple churches in Florida and a church in Virginia. For the past 2 years Bro. Rob has served many churches in this area as supply pastor. His desire is to serve the Lord using the gifts that God has given through leading a church in preaching and ministry. 

Pastor Rob considers himself a very conservative, traditional pastor and desires a church that is open to hearing the Word, fulfilling the Great Commission, and evangelizing in their community.
